This is our range of single varietals, named for Len Evans' famous restaurant and fine wine store which operated for fifteen years from 1968 at 16-18 Bulletin Place, Sydney. This site is Australia's oldest commercial building, constructed on the then Sydney Cove waterfront in 1832 for Mary Rieby an emancipated convict. Many who trained at Len Evans Wines went on to help establish the modern Australian Wine Industry and it is fondly remembered by wine loving members of the Sydney Business District as a favourite luncheon spot.

Bulletin Place

Chardonnay
Our 40-acre vineyard at Camden in the Sydney Basin occupies the oldest commercial vineyard site still operating in Australia and produces very ripe Chardonnay with vibrant tropical fruits characters: A very attractive food friendly style that has received much critical acclaim.

Merlot
This Merlot wine is a striking example of just how flavoursome this variety can be when fully ripened. A multi-regional blend from warm and cool climate fruit.

Cabernet Sauvignon
100% Cabernet Sauvignon, being principally cool climate fruit, which provides elegance, aroma and acidity, with a lesser proportion of warm climate fruit, providing colour and alcohol.

Shiraz
Over the past few years, this wine has won great acclaim in the USA and been the subject of many favourable press reviews. It is a black fruited wine with soft tannins and mouth filling flavours: a great food wine particularly with red meat, pasta or pizza.

CHARDONNAY 2004
WINE ENTHUSIAST
31st December 2004
“Wine Enthusiast's top 100 best buys of 2004!: 87 points. "A delicate feminine Chardonnay, exciting in that it has more nuance than you would expect for an $8 wine. The nose offers pretty citrus and olive scents, and it tastes a little like lemon pannacotta, dusted with some chalk. Mouth feel has a viscous, round texture.”
